Break the Chain for Palestine: Jamaica Field Day

Break the Chain convenes at Rufus King Park in Jamaica, Queens, on Sunday, November 1, 2026, for an afternoon field day focused on community and worker outreach along the transit corridor feeding John F. Kennedy International Airport. Participants will staff information tables in the park, distribute educational flyers to airline employees, airport workers, and travelers entering the AirTrain transit hub at Jamaica Station, and canvass commercial storefronts to ask neighborhood shopkeepers and community groups to display campaign window posters. The mobilization brings together campaign organizers, airport transit workers, local Queens residents, and neighborhood volunteers.

The day of action is part of Break the Chain’s ongoing effort to build rank-and-file worker and community leverage to halt shipments of weapons and hazardous military cargo to Israel passing through JFK Airport. According to organizers, the campaign targets Port Authority cargo operations and commercial logistics carriers while coordinating directly with airport union members to organize a grassroots arms embargo.

The field day begins at 2:00 p.m. at Rufus King Park, located two blocks from Jamaica Station and the JFK AirTrain hub. The event is free and open to the public. Organizers request that participants RSVP in advance so outreach teams, canvassing assignments, and materials can be coordinated.

The action is organized by Break the Chain, a project of the New York City Democratic Socialists of America (NYC-DSA) Anti-War Working Group alongside the NYC-DSA Labor Working Group. To register or learn more, visit the official Break the Chain campaign website.
